The AVN Expo is one of the largest and most iconic events in the adult entertainment industry, and I feel privileged to have been a part of it.
As I walked into the Expo, I was immediately struck by the scale of the event. The venue was packed with what seemed like thousands of attendees, all eager to connect with the biggest names in the industry, learn about the latest trends and technologies, and of course, see the stunning models and performers up close. I’ve been to my fair share of conventions and trade shows, but there’s something uniquely electric about the AVN Expo.

My first few hours at the Expo were a blur of networking, attending seminars, and browsing the various booths and exhibits. I met with industry professionals, discussed the latest developments in adult entertainment, and even got to check out some of the innovative new products and services on display. But as the day wore on, I started to feel a sense of overwhelm. The crowds were intense, and it was difficult to navigate the venue without getting caught up in a sea of people.
That’s when I stumbled upon a familiar face – my old friend Tera Patrick, the legendary adult film star and former host of KSEXRadio. We had lost touch over the years, but as soon as we locked eyes, it was like no time had passed at all. We hugged, exchanged warm smiles, and immediately dove into conversation.
As we caught up, Tera mentioned that she had been living in Italy for a while, and I was fascinated by her stories of la dolce vita. We talked about everything from the food (she’s a huge fan of authentic Italian cuisine) to the culture (she loves the laid-back Italian attitude towards life) to the challenges of navigating bureaucracy in a foreign country. I was particularly interested in hearing about her experiences as an expat, and she had some hilarious anecdotes about learning to speak Italian and adapting to the local way of life.
At one point, Tera turned to me and said, “You know, Italy is one of those places that gets under your skin. Once you’ve lived there, you’ll always be drawn back.” I couldn’t help but agree – I’ve had my own experiences with the country, and there’s something undeniably captivating about the Italian way of life. As we chatted, I found myself feeling a pang of wanderlust, and I couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like to live in Italy myself.

Our conversation was interrupted by a group of fans who wanted to take photos with Tera, and I was happy to step aside and let her shine. As I watched her work the crowd with her trademark charm and charisma, I was reminded of why she’s one of the most beloved figures in the adult entertainment industry. She has a gift for connecting with people, and it’s clear that she genuinely loves her fans.
After Tera finished taking photos, we made plans to catch up again soon. As I continued to explore the Expo, I felt rejuvenated and refreshed, thanks in large part to our chance encounter. The rest of the day was a whirlwind of activity, with seminars, workshops, and networking events keeping me busy until the evening.
One of the highlights of the Expo was the annual AVN Awards, which took place on the final night of the event. The ceremony was a glamorous affair, with many of the industry’s biggest stars in attendance. I was blown away by the talent and beauty on display, and it was clear that the winners were truly deserving of their awards.
As I looked around the room, I felt grateful to be a part of this community. The adult entertainment industry is often misunderstood and maligned, but it’s clear that the people involved are passionate, dedicated, and genuinely committed to their craft. The AVN Expo is a celebration of that passion and dedication, and it’s an event that I feel lucky to have attended.

In the days and weeks since the Expo, I’ve had time to reflect on my experiences and process everything that I saw and learned. One thing that struck me was the sense of camaraderie and solidarity that pervades the industry. Despite the challenges and controversies that the adult entertainment industry faces, it’s clear that the people involved are a community, and they look out for one another.
As I think back on my time at the 2024 AVN Expo, I’m filled with a sense of wonder and awe. It was an incredible experience, and one that I’ll never forget. From the seminars and workshops to the networking events and parties, there was always something new and exciting to discover. And of course, reconnecting with Tera Patrick was the icing on the cake – it was a reminder that even in a crowded and chaotic industry, there’s always room for friendship and connection.
If you’re involved in the adult entertainment industry, or if you’re simply a fan of the genre, I highly recommend attending the AVN Expo. It’s an event that’s not to be missed, and it’s a great way to connect with like-minded people, learn about the latest trends and technologies, and see the biggest names in the industry up close. And who knows – you might even run into an old friend or two, just like I did.
As I finish writing this review, I’m already looking forward to next year’s AVN Expo. It’s an event that’s always evolving and improving, and I have no doubt that the 2025 Expo will be even bigger and better than this year’s. Until then, I’ll be reliving the memories of my time at the event, and counting down the days until I can return to experience it all again.

The 2024 AVN Expo was an unforgettable experience, and one that I’ll always treasure. From the moment I arrived in Las Vegas to the moment I left, I was surrounded by excitement, energy, and a sense of community that’s hard to find anywhere else. If you’re thinking of attending the AVN Expo, I say go for it – you won’t regret it.
In the end, the 2024 AVN Expo was a wild ride, full of twists and turns that I never could have anticipated. But as I look back on the experience, I’m grateful for every moment of it. It was a chance to connect with old friends, make new ones, and experience the adult entertainment industry in all its glory. And as I settle back into my daily routine, I’m already counting down the days until next year’s Expo – it can’t come soon enough.
