Watching TV can be one of the best ways to learn a new language – with 77% of language learners agreeing that watching TV shows or films in another language can help them learn.
I’ve used watching DVD’s of movies that I knew line for line to learn several other languages conversationally by watching the movie in the different languages I want to learn. It seems now, the folks at Preply has done the science behind it.
As you may have noticed; Netflix continues to see a boom in their horror genre, and last year hit show Squid Game prompting spiked a increase of 76% of people in the UK learning Korean.
So, forget the pumpkin carving and treat-or-treating – why not learn another language this Halloween? For this, you simply need to put on your favourite Netflix scare flick and switch the audio to a different language.
