Target Pulls Whitney Houston Greeting Card

A greeting card could have Target in big trouble with Whitney Houston fans thanks to its message slamming the late singer. The card, which was sold before Houston died, reads: “Next time you think of dating the bad boy, consider Whitney Houston.”

The line references Houston’s tumultuous relationship with ex-husband and New Edition singer, Bobby Brown, which many people blame for the late singer’s alleged drug use.

After the card was spotted by a Reddit.com poster, the store told TMZ they quickly began pulling it after Houston’s death earlier this month.

“The card was in our stores prior to Ms. Houston’s death,” a Target rep told the website. “As soon as this was brought to our attention, we began the process of removing the card from all applicable stores.”
